I had an incredible time in the UK this time around, not that every other visit hasnt been great. The weather was fantastic.. if I remember, i think we had maybe 1 day of light rain and a few overcast days.

Made a visit to 4 castles, Guildfrord castle situated in downtown Guildford Surrey, Leeds castle in Kent, Warwick castle in Warwickshire, and Bodiam Castle in East Sussex. I have to say that I like the ancient castles…. you know the ones that havent been ‘modernised’ by people through the ages living in them. While Leeds and Warwick were nice, they lacked that certain charm of an ‘ancient’ castle. Bodiam castle… now that was a castle in my opinion.

We also managed some time in London and while there, took a narrow boat trip down the Regents Canal from Little Venice to Camden Lock(s). It was fun and very entertaining. We also took one of the tour boats down the Thames from the London Eye to the Tower of London. When we got off the boat we did a tour of the Tower of London. From there we made our way to the Tower Bridge… you know the one everyone calls the London Bridge… the one the Americans thought they bought…lol. From there we headed back over the Thames and visited the Shakespear’s Globe Theater and had a tour of it. We walked along the street leading back to the London Eye. We had a light snack before our ‘flight’ on the London Eye. What a nice view from up there. We then walked over to Covent Garden and had a meal. Covent Garden is where my mum and dad met during World War 2. What a strange feeling being there, very surreal. We headed back to where we were staying after that.

This was an incredible little church…

They have kept track of all the Clergy who have looked after this church… up to the present day. Amazing when you consider that the town probaly had/has less than 100 people.

These are a few pictures from my recent trip to ‘The New forest’ in the UK. It’s a very beautiful place to walk around in and collect your thoughts.

This is the Canadian War memorial at the north end of The New Forest… it was on this spot that the men of the 3rd Division R.C.A.S.C. erected this cross and held services from April 14th 1944 until D-Day June 6th 1944. Standing at this spot brought a tear to my eyes.

Someones son and/or husband who served in the Canadian 3rd Division R.C.A.S.C.
